Unaware of what has happened at the hotel, Jenny's treasure hunt clue ["Look for the green and yellow door, and you'll find the treasure for sure"]  has taken Jenny exactly where Brad intended:  to an apartment where Jenny finds an old wedding dress in a trunk ...

As she takes it out and looks at it, Brad walks in ...

BRAD:  It's over two hundred years old Jenny, and it's yours ...

JENNY is surprised to see him.

JENNY:  I should’ve known when I read the clue that brought me here …

BRAD:  That’s the real treasure of the Vernon Inn.  I found it this morning behind a brick wall.  I opened it up thinking I’d find a long-lost gold bullion inside, but I was wrong.  This was there instead.  A beautiful old wedding gown.

JENNY (tired of his games):  It’s incredible.

BRAD:  Isn’t it?  It could be restored, and worn again.

JENNY:  I’m going home.

BRAD:  Jenny, wait.  You can’t leave.  You can’t keep denying your love for me.

JENNY:  I never have.  I just know I have to get over that love, and go on with my life, without you.

BRAD:  Because of David Renaldi, right?

JENNY:  Don’t start with David again.  You know, you used him as a way to avoid responsibility.

BRAD:  What does that mean?

JENNY:  (angry, louder):  You have decided that another man is the reason we broke up, that it has nothing to do with you or your actions!

BRAD:  All right. It’s my fault that we broke up.  I take full responsibility for it. But I do blame David Renaldi for standing between us now.  If it wasn’t for him, you wouldn’t be so determined not to come back to me!

JENNY:  It doesn’t have anything to do with anybody else!  You have destroyed whatever faith or trust I had in you.  And something has finally clicked!  I will never let myself get involved in your life again!

BRAD:  I make one mistake … !!!  One mistake, and you can’t overlook it?!!!

JENNY:  A mistake?  It was a premeditated plan to ruin Kat’s life, and in the process, ours!  Now get this through your head:  It is over, I have had it!  I do not have room for you in my life!

BRAD:  You’ve said that before …

JENNY:  Yeah … and I never had the good sense to listen to my own advice.  But now I will, because you taught me so well.  Now, don’t you think it’s about time you got back to your Opening Night Party?

BRAD:  Doesn’t mean anything to me without you.

JENNY:  (sarcastic, angry):  I’m so sorry, but that’s the way it is.  So you do whatever you want to, I’m going home.

BRAD (jealous):  Going home, or over to Renaldi’s?  (He grabs her arm).

JENNY:  Stop it!

BRAD (yelling):  I’ll kill him, I swear!  If he takes you away from me, I’ll kill him!

JENNY:  (trying to break his grip):  Would you stop it, you’re hurting me!!!!!!

BRAD (quietly):  I’m sorry.

JENNY:  You’re always sorry.  And it’s always too late.

As she’s walking out of the room, JENNY remembers:  Delilah brought me here, I’ll have to call a cab.

BRAD:  You don’t have to, I’ll drive you home.

JENNY:  I’d rather call …

The phone rings …

BRAD: Hello.

COURTNEY:  Brad, thank God I found you!

BRAD:  What is it?

COURTNEY:  You have to get back here right away.  Something horrible has happened.  Scott Edgar has been killed.

BRAD:  Killed?

COURTNEY:  Yes, killed! Now would you get back here right away, please?

BRAD:  Yeah, okay … okay.

JENNY:  What’s wrong?

BRAD:  Scott Edgar is dead.  Someone chose my opening to kill him.

JENNY: He’s dead?

BRAD:  Yes.

JENNY:  Well, let’s go back there.

They leave.

His interrogation complete, DAVID walks out into the hallway, where ED tells DORIAN and HERB that he needs to talk to them next.

Before following DORIAN into the office, HERB looks at DAVID, and then turns to CASSIE:

HERB:  Uh, honey, why don't you go find Viki and Clint?

DAVID:   Herb, it's all right ... I'll look after her. Don't worry about her.

CASSIE and DAVID face each other; she is stunned by what has happened.

CASSIE (questioning):  David?

DAVID:  Cassie, I didn’t kill that man.  This will be proved.  Please, it is desperately important to me … that you believe me.

CASSIE:  Do you have any idea who hated Scott so much?

DAVID:  I have no idea.  If I did, things would look a lot rosier for me right now.

CASSIE:  You didn’t get a look at the killer at all?

DAVID:  No.  I can only assume that he was waiting in the garden for Scott to come out there.

CASSIE:  In the garden?  Oh, no!

DAVID:  What’s the matter?

CASSIE:  Well, I was there a few minutes ago, with that guy you live with, Simon.

DAVID (starts to yell and then catches himself):  Si …!  Simon was in the garden?

CASSIE:  Yes.

DAVID:  Did he tell you why he was at Vernon’s party?

CASSIE:  Well, I don’t know if it’s true, but he said he wanted to meet me.  David, how come you never mentioned him to me before?

DAVID:  Because I didn’t think there was any reason.  Excuse me.  Will you come with me?  I want to make a phone call in the lobby.

CASSIE:  I think I’m going to wait here for my mother and father.

DAVID:  All right.  I’ll see you very shortly.  All right?  (He puts a reassuring hand on her shoulder)  It’ll be okay.
