Focus on ... Michael Zaslow's ZazAngels
Soap Opera Weekly, February 11, 2003

ZazAngels, dedicated to finding a cure for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a.k.a. Lou Gehrig's Disease) in honor of the late Michael Zaslow (Roger Thorpe, GL; David Renaldi, OLTL), will hold its third benefit, "A Valentine Cabaret Salute to Richard Rodgers" February 10 at The Richard Rodgers Theater in New York.

"It's a musical, with everybody getting up there and singing," explains Zaslow's longtime GL co-star Maureen Garrett (Holly).  Although Garrett won't be belting out any tunes herself --- "Other than a certain few numbers that I would hand select, I don't think that would be very entertaining" --- co-star Kim Zimmer (Reva) will, as will Dennis Parlato (ex-Roger),  Rebecca Budig (Greenlee, AMC; ex-Michelle, GL) and Tamara Tunie (Jessica, As The World Turns).

"I'll introduce Dennis Parlato," notes Garrett, who praises Zaslow's widow, Susan Hufford, for organizing the event.  "She keeps it going.  I guess she made that promise to him.  This time, it's a chance to celebrate his life and his fight for a cure for this disease.  With time, one can get past the pain and the sorrow.  Now it's time to come together in his name."

Tickets start at $100 and can be purchased by calling (800) 672-8857.  For more information, go to www.michaelzaslow.com
