Roger and Holly: The Lost Episodes

The Lost Episodes series was launched in November of 1995. The idea began with Pat C, a Roger and Holly fan since 1991 when she first saw one of their legendary sparring sessions. The Lost Episodes were a salvation for fans who were disheartened by the handling of the Roger and Holly story on Guiding Light from 1995 through 1996 and longed to see the true story continued. More than 100 episodes were written, with the final one appearing on March 17, 1997. This retrospective reflects what we think is a representative sampling of Lost Episodes scenes.

Anyone who wished to write an episode was encouraged to do so. Pat C offered these words of inspiration:

"Enjoy yourself while writing, clear in the knowledge that whatever you come up with will be an improvement over current GL writing, except maybe Pete Rich and Betsy Tooker-Transom dialogue, but even they can't make up for lousy or non-existent long-term story, an obsession with newly-introduced characters and an ignorance of and/or complete disregard for history."
