After a visit to the hospital to tell Laurel Chapin that they're married, and that she no longer has anything to fear from Dorian, the newlyweds return home.  We hear their sweet, romantic piano theme music begin to play, and then, from outside their apartment at Llanfair,  the sound of the door opening.

David:  Now, just stay right out there. Don't move ...

Jenny:  What are you doing?

David:  Now, you're gonna find out. Now, don't get in there, I'm gonna pick you up ...

Jenny laughs.

David:  Don't say a word, here we go ... ready?  1-2-3 ...

Jenny:  Ohhh.....!!!

David:  Hey!!! Okay, now keep your eyes closed ....

Jenny:  What are you doing?

David:  ... no matter what happens, even if you feel that I'm about to drop you, even if you're in mortal danger ...

Jenny:  Drop me?  You drop me and I'm gonna kill you.

David [navigating toward the couch]:  Okay, now, any moment I'm going to say, "Open your eyes!"

Jenny:  Oh ...[seeing the surprise, and letting out a squeal, which David playfully mimics] .... Ooooh!   Oh, this looks gorgeous!!!  Oh my gosh, flowers, and ... look at this .. candles ... how did you do all this?

David:  Well, you see, I just called up the ol' Petit Oiseau, which I understood were famous for their catering service, and I left a key with Viki so they could get in, because I decided that if we couldn't get away, we were going to have a romantic time right here at home ... [he says this in a very soft, sweet, adoring way] ... all your favorite things.

Jenny [smiling]:  I love you and I am so glad that we are finally married.

David:  You say that to all the guys.

They both laugh, and begin to kiss softly, tenderly, repeatedly  ....

Later, David and Jenny are dressed in silk robes, relaxing on the couch. David is holding a flower, thinking about something, and Jenny is in his arms, sipping champagne  She puts the champagne glass down, looks back at David and smiles.

Jenny [she begins to caress his leg]:  What are you thinking?

David:  Well, to tell you the truth, I'm thinking about all the misery that Dorian put Laurel through.

Jenny:  I know.

David [reaching for and kissing her hand]: I tell ya, there aren't gonna be any secrets in this marriage.

Jenny [sarcastic]:  Oh, great. [She laughs].

David:  Huh? What?

Jenny:  I feel a confession coming on.  Let me guess!  Let me get champagne for this.

Jenny hands him a glass of champagne, and then, just as he lifts it to his lips, she says:  Okay, the confession is, you practice the piano in the nude!

David laughs so suddenly that he practically spits the champagne out ... he wipes his mouth.

David [still laughing]:  Well, that's a very intriguing thought! I'm willing to give it a try if I can get you to do some duets with me.

Jenny:  Duets! That's a fantastic idea!

David:  Yeah?

Jenny:  Yeah, I wanna hear the confession first.

David:  Okay, the confession.  When I went over to see Cassie about asking her to be your maid of honor ... I had decided that I was going to tell Dorian off.

Jenny [softly]: You promised you were not going to do that.

David:  I know, I know.  But Cassie was there, and I controlled myself, but I'm telling you, it was hard.

Jenny: You didn't?

David:  No, I didn't.

Jenny: Good.

David:  It just makes me so mad to think that Dorian is going to get away with it!

Jenny:  She's not getting away with anything!

David [not convinced of that]:  Oh, come on ... well, what I think, if you're interested ...

Jenny [whispers] ... I'm always interested.

David:  ... is that tomorrow morning, you and I oughta go over to Dorian's and tell her that we're married.

Jenny:  Really?

David:  Yep, because I don't like the idea of putting Cassie in a position of having to be a co-conspirator with us against her mother just because we asked her to be your maid of honor.

Jenny:  All right.

David:  Really?

Jenny:  Yeah, I totally agree with you. Tomorrow we will do that. And we will also go and see Viki and Clint, and then we will not take anymore time away from our honeymoon.  Is that a deal?

David:  All right  ... you got it!

Jenny:  Okay, and now ... I would like to know where we're going on our honeymoon!.

David [laughing, enjoying the tease ]:  You ain't gonna find out!   Because it's a surprise. Not a secret, but a surprise, and I will tell you when I'm good and ready! And that'll be tomorrow, and that's when you're gonna find out! So read'em and weep!

Jenny:  Okay!  [She pours the bottle of champagne over David's head].

David [very surprised, laughing loudly ]:  Oh,  you're wild woman!

Fade out on their laughter and kissing ...
