One Life To Live's Wortham Krimmer with Michael, Marika and Helena at the SOS 4 ALS Awareness softball game at Yankee Stadium on September 12, 1998.

"I didn’t think that I’d ever feel as emotionally connected to a storyline as I did to the homophobia storyline, but working with Michael Zaslow has been even more compelling."  – Wortham Krimmer (Andrew Carpenter, OLTL), Soap Opera Digest, June 23, 1998.

"Michael loved truth and beauty.  He abhorred injustice.  Like a modern-day Don Quixote, he fought every windmill in sight.  To me, he was a brother -- the older brother  I never had.  A brother who could level me with a single look, elevate me with the slightest touch and inspire me with the unmitigated courage with which he led his life.  I love you, Michael, and miss you."

"I'd known Michael through times of union negotiations, but only as colleagues.  When he came to work here, we really hit it off.  If two straight, married guys could have love at first sight, I think we had it.  We really enjoyed each other a lot and spent a lot of time together over the past year."

One Life to Live – They Go Together:
When Wortham Krimmer (Andrew) and Michael Zaslow (David) started having scenes together, it was like deja-vu. "We had an instant, profound connection," notes Krimmer. "Zaslow told me, ‘I feel like I’ve known you forever.’ And I said maybe he did, because I believe in those kinds of connections. I don’t believe we have a destiny, but I do believe that we resonate with people for very specific reasons." Krimmer realized he also had a link to Zaslow’s good friend, Brynn Thayer (ex-Jenny). "In 1986, we did a movie together in Madrid. When I came to One Life to Live five years later, one of the first people I heard from was Brynn. Then this thing happened, and who showed up with Michael? Brynn. At this point, it’s no longer a coincidence."
